Later in life, I aspire to open a cake bakery. I love jazz and will always have it playing and would like to incorporate it in the name. I was thinking 'The Harlem Bakery' like Harlem Jazz, but my boyfriend said, "It reminds me of black people." Lol. And also, "It sounds like you are in New York, when you're not." Which I won't be, I'll open it in Portland. But last night I came up with Come Rain or Come Shine Bakery, a Billie Holiday song that is the song my boyfriend and I will have our first dance to in the wedding.. Sorry it's so long, thank you!

There's nothing wrong with naming something after something else, and there's also nothing wrong with bringing culture to the area. I say go with your idea and ignore your boyfriend. If that's what you would like to call your bakery then call it that & don't let anyone stop you. [ christina's advice column | Ask christina A Question ]
