my question is how do you do pilates? i hear about all these people and celeberities that do pilates excersizes but what is it? id really like to know how they stay so skinny and fit. so someone please help me describe to me in the best detail you can please and thankyou!

Pilates is usually done in a class, and it involves equiptment a typical gym usually doesn't have. The one I have used is where you put your legs and arms in loops attatched to resistance bands that are on this bench you lay on, so it isn't electric. However, there are pilates work outs you can do without the machines.
It's like a combination of yoga and aerobics, and it involves more then just certain moves. There are principles and breathing techniques that add to the exercise.

There are plenty of DVDs you can buy if you get into it, and I bet there are classes near you. Celebritys like Jennifer Aniston and Cameron Diaz do it, so if you like their physique maybe it's worth trying. My friend's mother does it and I think shes in great shape, so it can work for the average person as well.
