I would say that you may have an adware on your computer. Adware, spyware, and virus are within the category of malware.

If you are not good with computers and don't know how to manually remove it, then I recommend you to download, install, and run the following program:

SuperAntiSpyware (free version): [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

It works very well for me when I tested it (by infecting my own computer with about 10 adwares). I must say that it among one of the bests free anti-spyware and anti-adware available today.

Of course, there are cases where the program doesn't detect the adware. In such situation, you need to manually remove it. To begin with, recently, did you install any software into your computer? You might want to check on that and attempt to manually remove the adware yourself. Removing an adware is a lot simpler than a virus, or worse, worm.

TendMicro HijackThis: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

It will help you in pinpointing where the problem lies. But to use it, you need to have some understands of your system.

If all else failed, then try a system restore. If you have been creating at least one restore point on your computer each month (like you should), then this process should be a piece of cake. If you have never created a restore point, then . . . well, keep trying to remove the adware =)

==============================================
Also, the person below me recommended you CCleaner. Well, CCleaner is a good freeware that erases your traces of activities on your computer, but it is NOT (NOT as in "NO") an antivirus or antispyware program. It's NOT going to remove or report any malware on your computer.

If you want a free anti-virus and anti-spyware program, then I would recommend you to use one of these:

****NOTE: Pick ONLY ONE because if more than one anti-virus software run at the same time, they might interfere with each other.

Avast! Home Edition: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

Avira AntiVir Personal Edition: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

Both are just good as each other and both are free. Just pick the one you like.

Hope this helps,
=)

Sounds like a virus, You could try to restore the computer.

Start-Program-PC help and tools-System Restore

If you restore it too an earlier date it is possible you could change it back to before you got the virus, However IS IS NOT RECOMMENDED doing everytime something popups. After doing this your computer should restart.

You also might want to see if your popup blocker is off by going to the internet-tools-pop up blocker

If you don't have a antivirus program I recommend downloading CCleaner it will delete any problems or temporary files in your computer. Also, Try clearing history once in a blue moon.
