Maybe, since with the vibrator you're in control, it might be easier for you to give yourself plesure since you know where it feels good. If you know your boyfriend enough already to have sex, then he wouldn't probally mind if you said that you wanted it in a specific place.

the first poster was correct. Just by penetration, is does feel good, but its not enough stimulation to make you orgasm. The pleasure center is the clitoris. Guide him to what feels the best and it will all be better in no time.

Not unusual at all. Most women doesn't achieve orgasm through penetration, only by clitoral stimulation. Most guys, especially the younger ones, don't know how to stimulate it right. A lot of them don't even know where it is!
Your best bet is to have him give you oral, and you must give him specific instructions. It will take soem time, but hopefully he'll get the hang of it.
