Michele answered Monday July 6 2009, 11:03 pm: YOu don't say where you will be working. IN the US or in India. If you work in the US, HR could be interesting, because there are so many damn laws governing what people can and cannot do during work hours. With large, and I mean very large companies, HR is a very important position, BUT....you'll be dealing with humans when they are at their worst behavior. Or you'll be laying people off. Not a fun task. I have done both HR and accounting, (in the US.) And I'll take accounting any day. Sooner or later the numbers are going to come out right and you'll accomplish your task. SUCCESS. In HR, sometimes to be successful means you make other people unhappy. Some tasks are distasteful, and all you can wish for is that they will be over soon.
Hope this helps
