I don't know how long you've had your period for, but I know that within the first few years it'll be irregular & should regulate itself.
I think stress is more than likely causing you to skip periods. You said your mom has been stressing you, and I'm sure school, friends, boys & other things have probably been a contributing factor as well.
If it doesn't clear up, you're going to need to see a doctor whether you like it or not. It's for your own good. They can tell you what's up, and maybe give you something to help. If they find it severe enough, they may give you a birth control to help regulate your period.
Please don't be nervous about going to the doctor. It's procedure & it's only for your health. :) I hope this gives some insight & I really hope you can get your period back on track. Being irregular & stressed can really suck. :( Nobody wants an unexpected period. Good luck! ]
This has never happened to me, but I know that this can happen to a lot of girls. It's basically just because of having irregular periods. Usually because it is so inconvenient you can start taking the birth control pill which will cause you to have your period every single month. I don't know how long this has been ocurring for, but clearly if it's happened a lot you should go to the doctor. If you've only missed it once or twice then it's not much to worry about, because your period can randomly skip. But I would definitely do what mom says and go to the doctor! They won't even have to look at you or anything - they'll be able to give you something or tell you what's wrong just by hearing what's going on with your body. ]
