drug test

Question Posted Thursday June 25 2009, 11:46 pm

I have to take a drug test for a job I got offered...anyone here ever taken a drug test ? Do I need to bring any important documents? And do they send your results to the job or do I have to bring it back?

Most likely, they'll send you to the doctor of their choice, if it's urine. (Swabs for saliva and hair samples can be taken on site, I know. Urine I'm not so sure about.)

Your urine (or hair, or saliva, etc) goes to a lab. Lab results back to the doctor. Doctor calls the job and tells them if your test was clean (no drugs detected). If it's dirty, they most likely will call you to inform you that they will turn in the dirty results to your job.

I hope that makes sense.
