My best friend just called and told me that Michael Jackson is actually dead! I totally cannot believe this! Michael Jackson was fairly young, right? This has to be some kind of joke, prank, or VERY late April Fool's gag, right?

Definitely dead. It happened somewhere around 2:00 pm Pacific Standard Time, which means 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time.
He died today. I don't think he was murdered. But the autopsy, like Christina said below, is tomorrow.

Yes, Michael Jackson really is dead. He was found in his rented home in LA not breathing. He was taken to the UCLA Medical Center and was pronounced dead at 2:26pm Pacific Standard time.
As far as the media knows, he was not murdered. They have disclaimed it as a cardiac arrest, BUT the autopsy is being done tomorrow so that could change. However, the family has asked for privacy on the matter, so it may or may not be released to the public.

Yes he was its really hard to believe I couldnt either but yea its true hes dead.
he had a heart attack seemingly then went into cardiac arrest,then a coma and then died its all over the news and internet google it if you want to find out more.

yes, he's dead. he went into cardiac arrest before paramedics arrived at his home. he died this afternoon, 3-ish i believe.
