What does Ghetto mean? My friend said something about a guy looking really, "Ghetto." I just pretended I knew what she was talking about because I don't want to look really stupid. I'm curious though. I want to be able to use this slang (I assume it is slang...right?) with her. Does anybody know?

Ghetto is usually referred to a neighborhood of lesser income and such. To refer to something as ghetto, it's usually an insult. Unless you mean to offend someone, I wouldn't say it. It's not bad, but it's offensive to some and could potentionally insult them. Don't say it. ]
