You can then calculate your BMI (Body Mass Index) using a chart to see if you are overweight, underweight or in the right range. It's the same thing when figuring out calories.

When it comes to exercise walking, running, swimming or any team sports will help. Self-defense classes definitely will get you in shape too. If you eat right and exercise and cut out junk food, fried foods etc. you'll notice a fast difference. I've dropped over 50 pounds in 7 months.
I need to know your height because you may not need to diet at all but think that you do over something related to self-image.
