hey guys please help. how do i get rid of these symbol in my word, i kind of pressed on something. while typing, instead of a space there's a dot. and there are a lot of symbols!!!! pls help asap!

In Microsoft Word if you search through the settings and format options in the toolbar, you should find what looks like a "P" with some vertical lines through. This is the paragraph symbol. Click it and it should turn off.

Also, it's only visible to you. If you print it it will be normal, and if you send it to someone they won't see it unless they have it on, too. If they have it on, they'll see the symbols instead of spaces anyway.

What kind of MS Word do you have? Is it MS Word 2000, 2003, or 2007?

If you have MS Word 2007, click on the "Home" tab, then click off the paragraph mark button.

If you have MS Word 2003, then most likely it will be somewhere in the formatting options.

Go to Tool--->Options--->View Tab
Then in "Formatting Marks," uncheck "Paragraph Marks."

(Sorry, no screenshot for this one because I don't have MS Word 2003 anymore. I used to use it before but recently I've switched to MS Word 2007).
