acne

Question Posted Monday June 8 2009, 12:39 pm

15/f
ive had acne since 5th grade, and trust me it lot to be a hell of a lot worse. finally around last summer it began to clear up a lot, but i still get a good break out here and there.
ive tried proactiv, the 3 piece clean and clear kit, the 3 piece neutrogena kit, and now im usin oxy. but nothin seems to make it go away.
im a really picky eater, not on purpose, but a lot of food makes me near throw up (i try everythin). i usually eat italian food.

what im askin is:
1. what can get rid of redness, a house hold item, really quickly ?
2. whats a reallly good brand of acne wash/medicine that will clear up my face ?
3. whats somethin i can change in my diet or habits that will help it go away ?

oh man, trust me have i had this problem! see, but with me, i have to change the thing i use on my skin every month. yeah, proactive didn't work well for me either. if you go to your doctor, they could presribe 5-10% benzoyl peroxide for free, usually.i've tried every product at the drugstore, trust me with this hah. the few i've found to work really good for my skin-though yours may be different, everyone's is.-but if you have combination skin((oily t-zone,normal cheeks)) then maybe these will help.

Clearisel Ultra (best stuff i've ever used!)
Noxema (for those days you get sunburns,it cools them down and is good for your skin)
and finaly, Cetaphil (spelling?) -regular cleanser

1.for redness, i use lemon juice. hah, weird but it works for me
2.^up there :D!
3.just for the summer time, since its getting nice out try to eat as much fruit as you can. just think of it as a refreshing snack-try to drink a lot of water. also moisturize your face after being in the sun.

ps: i know most people hate the taste-but if you have any Apple Cider Vinegar in your house, drink a small teaspoon of that a day. it's really strong and tastes horrible, but its so good for you-it cleans EVERYTHING out of your system and has helped me with my acne. I also get hair skin and nail vitamins that work really good, if you have a gnc near your house you can find them there.

hope i helped,good luck :D!

Im not sure how to get rid of redness but i can tell you something that i do to keep acne away.

In the morning and at night use a cotton round and wipe your face down really good with rubbing alcohol. Then when your done put an oil free lotion on your face. This usually gets rid of my acne.

Im not sure what you can change in your diet, a lot of people are different. Some things make some people break out, but not all people.

Hope i helped =]
