Face masks work for some people. I personally LOVE them. Neutrogena has this product that is a cleanser AND a mask - I use it on any breakouts I have and it's incredible. There's also the peel-off variety, which often contain acids (the kind you want for your skin) that can even out your skin too.

Sounds like my skin!

There's no best product, use whatever works for you.

You need a good oil-free moisturizer and an astringent/toner for the oily part. Get a facial wash with beads to exfoliate. Like Clean & Clear's Morning Burst for example. I also used their astringent since it's gentle.

Exfoliate to even skin tones. People with oily skin tones have dead skin cells build up and improper and harsh exfoliating can damage your skin. You don't get instant results so there's always makeup. Concealer or powder. I've tried everything and it just didn't give me the results I wanted. So I've been using Jergens natural glow daily moisturizer on my face. You can use a little opposed to going out all tan. My nose and cheeks are no longer red. My upper lip, chin and eyelids are no longer a shade lighter than the rest of my skin.

I've never had good luck with facial masks because they are too drying on me. I've been hearing raves about Queen Helene's mint julep masque. Based on reviews, it seems worth a shot.

I would only use masks for spot treatments. I've been using that tiny mask from Proactiv for my breakouts!
