hey, so i'm 5'0, 15 years old, and my weight changes all the time usually from about 115 to about 120. first off, is that a lot to weigh? second, i want to lose about 8 pounds or so for the summer. are there any ways for me to do that? i'm a really picky eater, and don't do very well with healthy foods. the only meet i eat is chicken. i love fruits but im not so good with vegetables, i only eat a few. so what are some ways i can lose weight for the summer? thanks soo much!
drink TONS AND TONS of water
at least 9 cups a day.. i usually drink 6 bottles a day, i swear it makes you lose weight FAST.
cut down on all snacks, especially before bedtime. thats the worst time to eat anything, because the food is just sitting there in your body for hours while you sleep.
eat mostly all salads, make it your lunch and dinner meals , even a snack. salad can be really filling and has almost no calories. this will make you lose weight fast too..
try to go for walks at night or get some crunches in before bed for eexercise
solidadvice4teens answered Monday June 1 2009, 10:49 pm: If you are of medium build you should be lowest 113 highest 126 pounds with anything over that being high risk or anything under 113 being too low. If you are built very tiny it's 104-115 pounds as being safe. Going any lower is underweight from the BMI chart I have.
I think it would be unhealthy to try to lose anything much less 8 pounds. You are exactly within range of where you ought to be. It fluctuates because your body makes tiny changes that amount to 2-3 pounds up or down which is normal because it's all water and not fat. It always goes up when you finish a meal or down when you need fuel.
You need to eat veggies and meat other than chicken or more than just chicken for protein. You don't have to eat just rabbit food. You can have your favorites once and a while as a reward. Look for different recipies that are low in calories and fat on the Internet and try them. Cut out all fast foods and exercise but stay at the weight I've told you as anything less is asking for serious trouble health wise.
