I think you should go for it. I to have been dating a guy for a yr I'm 43 yesterday and he is 46. I am sure he wants to marry me, he saids it all the time. I wish I could marry him but I wanted to wait until the kids are grown, with him having small twins boys I don't see marriage in my crystal ball anytime soon...with him anyway. Good luck to you, life is short, but it is the longest thing we will know.

I applaud your patience. I don't think it is too soon at all. If you both are committed to eachother and very much in love, AND both wanting to get married, then i would have to say, pop the question. You are both still young (yes you are dont argue)and have so much time to spend happily married, and if you really love eachother there is no reason to "drag the wait out" so to speak.

Of course! That's such a nice story and I'm glad that you both were able to find someone after all of these years. I don't think a year is too soon, and as long as you know the feeling is mutual back then you should go for it! The worst she could say is no, but even if she did, that hopefully wouldn't ruin the commitment yall have with each other.

Go for it! and good luck :D
