I have been in this relationship around a year I do have a gem for a girl friend and there is no doubt that she wants to marry me . I just want to get more of my eggs in a row although I am thinking more along the lines of marriage and not so much ingagement.So my question is would this be to soon?Keep in mind we are not young 18 year olds we are both 45 years old she has been single for over 20 years while she made commitments to raising her children now they are grown and so are mine I am a widower my wife passed away in 1985 although I did date over the years I was single for 6 years prior to meeting her in church.And yes we dont sleep together.We choose to be patient. I think you should go for it. I to have been dating a guy for a yr I'm 43 yesterday and he is 46. I am sure he wants to marry me, he saids it all the time. I wish I could marry him but I wanted to wait until the kids are grown, with him having small twins boys I don't see marriage in my crystal ball anytime soon...with him anyway. Good luck to you, life is short, but it is the longest thing we will know.
