I'd also suggest Pandora, but keep in mind that Pandora analyzes everything but the lyrics. If you're looking for similarities in lyrics, you might want to look elsewhere.

Try last FM if you want you can make a profile and see similar bands, make friends and see what similar music they like. It works off your itunes/Windows media player/Spotify to make a music library according to what you've been listening to.

I know Pandora Radio is sort of like that...you input artists you like and it gives you suggestions.
