What does this phrase mean?
I hear it in songs, poems, and in everyday conversations among friends.
What does it mean to "wear your heart on your sleeve?"

It means that you are very emotional. If your "wearing your heart on your sleeve" your heart is unprotected, you take things personally or your feelings get hurt really easily. ive heard people say it to girls when we just have those "cry at everything" days. im sure you know what im talking about.
