my dad told me that if i don't eat vegatables that i'll get pimples on my cheeks.
hah, idk if he was just saying that or what but it worried me because well i've never aten lots of vegatables actually not very much at all. but i've always had flush cheeks that had little bumbs, my cheeks been like that my whole life.
so what should i think of this situation? is my father right? or is he just nuts?
Nope, eating veggies or not have no connection with pimples.
If you want someone to blame, blame your dad or mom for that. If you have pimple, chances are . . . heh . . . when your mother or father was young, he or she had had pimples, too. It's in your genes.
If you want something to blame, blame your hormonal activity. Abnormal hormonal activity can lead to pimples, too. (Stress, menstrual cycle, pregnancy, some sort of medication, etc. might be the cause of the abnormal hormonal activity).
Here's how it happens:
When too much oil (medical word for this type of oil is "sebum") is produced (usually due to abnormal hormonal activities, but there are some other less common causes, too), it can become mixed with dead skin cells and small pieces of hair on your skin, and clog the pathway out of the hair follicle/oil gland. And there you go, you got pimple.
