Ever since I was in 6th grade I have wanted to own my own day care. Not the kind that you have at your house, but a seperate building and a real business. I have taken Teaching Young Children at school, I even have a job at the kind of day care I want to own someday. So what I want to know is, How long would it take to get all the certificates to do this? Do I need to go to special schooling? what would I need? Any info will help.
Thnx.
Trauma answered Saturday April 18 2009, 3:02 am: I don't think you really have to go to school for anything in childcare or anything, although it would probably help a lot. They may have some childcare classes in your area. Not necessarily in college, but some places offer community classes for things like that. If anything, you may need to take some business classes. It's not required, either, but it will help if you need to get a loan to start your daycare. [ Trauma's advice column | Ask Trauma A Question ]
