babysitting in brisbane, australia hi, i recently moved to australia from south africa, and i'm 17, still attending school full time, but i wanted to get a job.. So i thought babysitting was a great idea because i want to study child psychology later on.. But i dont know how to start this, babysitting.. Any help? Should i hand out flyers to people in my neighbourhood letting them know i can babysit? I have never done this before formally, just did it for family friends once in a while back in south africa.
Thanks.

I suggest the website called The Sitter's Weekly.
It's a free online guide to babysitting - includes advertising advice, babysitting rates, flyer ideas, how to handle the children, etc.
It's located at [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) ]
Get to know your closest neighbors first, talk to them find out who has kids in your area. Get them to introduce you to someone who would need a babysitter, create a portfolio or something like that letting them know what you experinces are, etc. ]
Fliers are a great start. Word of mouth is good, too. Tell people what you want to do & chances are if someone mentions the need for a babysitter they'll recommend you. You can also try an online ad or an ad in the paper. And some businesses (at least here, anyway), let you put signs up to advertise things, so you could try that. ]
