hair teasing
how do you tease your hair? like without it looking like naughty? wen i do it, it just looks like a huge knot and it doesnt look cute WHAT SO EVER. and my hair is jus so like flat. HELP

The way that I do it is,
I grab a section of my hair and lift it up on top of my head.
I use one of those combs with lots of little bristles and the long metal pole on the end that's used for separating hair, I think it's called a rats tooth comb.
Anyway, I get that section of hair and brush it downwards towards my head.
But I don't start from the roots, I start close to my head so it gives it more volume.
Once I have finished teasing it I spray that section of hair with a bit of hairspray and it usually holds for a long time.

I use a round brush. You know the ones with all the sharp bristles on it?? Well i just lift up the very tops of my hair and tease it by the roots, like 6-9 times and then i put it down (it will be standing up) so brush it out slightly with the brush and hairspray. I dont know if this will work for you but it does for me. Hope i helped =]

I know what you mean, my hair can get so flat sometimes too. :/ I actually just started teasing a few months ago, and I learned by watching youtube videos. Basically, for me I straighten my hair and then, afterwards I take a comb, and backcomb where I want the bump to be. The higher you lift the hair - the higher the bump will be. And then while I'm backcombing I usually hairspray it, it just depends because sometimes I just pull my hair in a pony tail.
It's pretty hard to describe in words. Have you youtubed it? Go to www.youtube.com and type in hair teasing and it's sooo much easier to learn if you're actually watching the process because you can do it along with them.
