okay, i have like a bunch of black hair on my arms and i guess i could live with that but i was wondering if i shave it then will the hair grow back thicker that before? if it does i might as well leave it as it is. i really wanna know.
anonymousme answered Sunday April 5 2009, 9:13 pm: It won't really be thicker & darker, but it will appear thicker as a result of the blunt edge a razor leaves on the hair. Because of the blunt edge, the angle at which light hits the hair will cause the hair to appear darker.
Rather than shave it, I'd trim it because I shaved mine a few times in hopes that it wouldn't look bad...and it was awful.
It grew back looking not only thicker & darker, but it was spikey because of the blunt edge.
Even now, when people sit next to me in the car, even if I have a long-sleeve shirt on, my arm hair sticks them & they're like "OW!"
So, now I use Smooth Away. It takes your tan away, but oh well. [ anonymousme's advice column | Ask anonymousme A Question ]
