curl your hair with a 1/2 inch curler, let the curls cool and run your fingers through your hair, then take a rattail comb and start teasing random sections of hair (make sure to tease the crown too so you can get some volume!), start pinning the ENDS of your hair loosely, and leave a few pieces of hair out as you wish, there you go!

With short hair for a messy bun, you curl/scrunch your har then with boby pins you section off hair, bring it back and pin it starting at the crown, you can do a 'bump' or a 'poof'. No rubber band included you hair should be short enough that the pins hold.

It depends on how short your hair is. You can tie it in a bun and put bobby pins where it falls out. When I had really short hair, I couldn't really tie it so I pinned it up & it actually looks a lot cuter and you can even wear your hair like that when you go out. You take small pieces and you twist it and put a bobby pin. You do it all over and it looks like a cute up-do.
