I'm getting ready to go to college in about a year and a half and i want to go to become a pediatric nurse and work my way up over time to a pediatrician....
its possible to work your way up to a doctor isnt it?
whats the highest level of education you can get for nursing? (masters, bachelors,Dr?)
Do you have to go to a special school//college to become a pediatric nurse or do you just learn basic nursing needs and you can be whatever kind of nurse you want to be?

To become a pediatrician, you would need an extra 4 years. So altogether, you'd be in university for up to 12 years to reach pediatrician status.
A bachelor's degree in nursing is what allows you to operate as a nurse. You get basic training.
You can get a master's degree in nursing, which allows you to specialize further. It takes between 18 and 24 months to do. That's how you would become a pediatric nurse.
You can also get a PhD, but I'm not entirely sure what that entails.
If you so chose, you could likely get a BSN, then apply for medical school. It would take you 12 years to go that route to become a pediatrician.
There are no special nursing schools. Universities have nursing departments.
Here's a link where you can browse nursing schools from different states and get information:
