iTunes Question and Windows Movie Maker Okay, so my computer crashed a few months ago and I had to purchase a new one. So I had to download the new version of iTunes with it.
The version I had before had the option of "Convert to MP3", so you could move the music files to other applications. But now, it only says "Create AAC version" which obviously doesn't help me because you can't move CD files.
The MP3s that I download from the internet are annoying because when I want to make a movie on Windows Movie Maker, the sound and video gets all screwed up so there's something wrong with the MP3s.
So basically, is there some kind of MP3 Encoder I can download that's free and won't harm my computer? And then will that fix the Windows Movie Maker issue?
Please please please don't answer this question if you don't know what you're talking about.
Thanks in advance =]

In iTunes, go to Edit -> Preferences. Click the "Import settings" button. Change the "Import using" dropdown to "MP3 Encoder". OK everything, and right click -> "convert to MP3" will work again.
If you don't want to use iTunes, Mediacoder will convert nearly any format to nearly any other format:

The MP3 problem will probably be fixed by installing K-Lite Codec pack Full:
