New car, happy 17th birthday me (:

Question Posted Thursday March 12 2009, 5:12 pm

So I am getting a car for my birthday tomorrow and I wanted to know what kind of things that aren't kind of obvious that I should keep in my new car other then like oil, jumper cables, an ipod converter, and a cell phone charger?

It's a 1999 Camaro if that helps (:

What you should do is prepare for ANYTHING! Get a small box and put together sort of an emergancy kit. Like put in a flash light, if you live in a town where it snows than get an ice scrapper, spare key, things like that. Also keep a spare tire in the trunk. If your insurance covers a pop and lock service incase you lock your keys in the car, than put their number in your cell. If i think of anything else i'll let you know. :^)

you can actually buy a little kit. It comes with a flashlight, and other little things that you could need. I say keep pepper spray(if your a girl) just in case. Pen and like a small notepad that could just fit somewhere. Hope I helped!

Well, my Dad always told me to keep a blanket and a change of clothes or at least an extra jacket, just because if it's cold out, you never know when your car might break down and you might need to walk or sit in the cold for while....and he always said to keep the stuff to change a tire (along with a spare) but that is kind of an obvious thing. Well that's all I can think of at the moment. congrats on the car and drive safe!
