One person back handspring spot on trampoline?

Question Posted Wednesday March 11 2009, 8:05 pm

I asked a girl on my squad if she would help me get my back handspring because she wants to get hers too. She said yes and that she had a trampoline that we could use. Do we still need to spot each other on the trampoline? If so how?

btw-that strech you gave me was for my toetouch and its improved soo much and it worked out perfectly because try-outs are just around the corner!

thx alot!
-Erin

Hey again! Thats great! Im glad everything worked out! For maybe the first few times on the trampoline get yourself comfy with a spot. All your friend has to do is put one hand on your back. you do the steps and she pushes behind your knees over your head. Make sure when you are upside down, that she is supporting your weight with the hand on your back. Make sure you don't swing your head. I have done it and it hurts when you fall, even on trampoline! Best of luck and tell me how tryouts go!
