boredom eating

so right now im not in any sports (i usually am) and i have nothing to do after school so i'm really bored and out of boredom, i start snacking on stuff. what can i do to break this habit?

You answered your own question. Get active, run, jog, lift weights, etc... Get a workout friend if you can.
Snack on trail mix or real food like rasins if you are hungry. Drink more water.
Many times your body signals hunger when what you actually are is thirsty (dehydrated).
It's a trick your body plays to obtain more fluid.
Also, try not to buy a bunch of junk food to start with.

To stop bored snacking you must get in your head that just because you have nothing to do doesn't mean you should eat. It's a mind over matter thing. Instead of eating maybe you should chew on some gum. It's low in calories and you can get sugar free so it's good for you and your teeth. It won't be an easy habit to break, but with time I know you can do it!! Good luck!
