Trauma answered Thursday February 26 2009, 5:13 am: I wouldn't exactly call myself 100% wiccan, but I've done a lot of researching on it & I've practiced it a little, so I hope this helps. This is what I've found out during my research:
What does WICCA stand for?
It doesn't stand for anything. It comes from an old English word meaning wise.
Where and when did the brief in WICCA begin?
The beginning of Wicca is still debated on, but it was first noticed in England in the early 1950's.
Since the Cross in the Catholic church has a symbolic meaning, what is the background of the pentagram?
For a lot of Wiccans, the pentagram represents elements, one for each point of the star. The elements are Earth, Air, Fire, Water, & Spirit.
Do you have things like the Ten Commandments?
Wiccans use the Wiccan Rede. The basic point of the rede being "If it harms none, do what you will".
What exactly do Wiccans believe in? Who do they follow?
Wiccas believe in a single power, often known as the All, but is usually referred to as the God & Goddess. Basically, Wiccans believe in an ultimate power, but what they call it varies. And most Wiccans do not believe in "Satan" or anything like that.
How do go about becoming Wiccan?
To become a wicca, your first step should be to do a lot of research & find out everything you can about Wicca. Also, to make sure it's the right religion for you.
Since Wiccans believe in witchcraft, do they believe there is some way they could bring the dead back?
Usually not, but it depends on the person. A lot of them believe that communication with the dead is possible, though.
What do Wiccans believe happens to you when you die?
Most believe in reincarnation, or a place called "summerland", where your spirit waits to take physical form again. [ Trauma's advice column | Ask Trauma A Question ]

Also, I doubt your teachers would let you get away with using someone on the Internet. I would talk to whomever assigned this to you and tell them straight up that you don't know anyone who practices it let alone where to find them. Let them point you in the proper direction.
