okay so i do gymnastics and i really feel like a complete failure at it and at other things. i feel like people are laughing at me or are gonna when i try to go for skills and mess up or i feel like when i try to dance (because im not great at it) people just think its a joke and it really hurts and is depressing me. i feel like all my friends can do everything better then me and i dont know what to do anymore. please give me some helpful advice. im not looking for sympathy.
You must forget all of that and get on with life. Obviously, you've got the guts and determination to go and pursue the things you are interested in! That in itself says alot! There are many, and I mean many, people who have interests that they never pursue, over their entire lifetime because they don't feel they will succeed. Don't be hard on yourself! You may not end up being the best gymnast or dancer, but then....you may. Point is, you will never know until you try.
The heck with anyone else or what they may think. You will regret it if you don't pursue your interests in this life. You only go around once. I admire you for going for it despite your insecurities! Here's a little clue...it is not possible that your friends can do everything better than you. If they are better dancers, fine. Better gymnasts, okay. Maybe you are a better equestrian. Tennis player, golfer, political debater. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. You will find your niche. In the meantime, brush it all of and do what you love! I just started taking guitar lessons and I know it will take me a while to be able to actually play a song, but that won't keep me from putting forth all my effort. Commit your heart to your actions and nothing else (especially other people's opinions) will matter. [ LiSaxOBaBii's advice column | Ask LiSaxOBaBii A Question ]
