8th grade research/term paper topic

okay, so now i want to do my term paper on something different, but interesting. my friend gave me a good idea, like "what is skateboarding?". but thats what shes doing already. shes gonna put down how it started, the basic tricks, etc.
so does anyone have any interesting topic like that?
like relating to..
- music
- hobbies
- clothes
things a 13/f girl would find interesting

you could do "what is music" and get creative with it, put your perspective into it, and say some bands that you feel have influenced music, my favorite is the Beatles.

You could do something fun like the origination of fashion shows/super models and how they've evolved to the way we see fashion now. You could discuss how it started with European women needing an outlet of expression and often the latest fashions were simply worn to parties and later raved about in newspapers. Of course do more research but it could be quite fun to see how we started out from there to the runways and catwalks we have now
