do i have ocd
Well i have a fear of germs and i wash my hand for about 10 min and my family goes made at me for taking to long and i hate to sit next to people. And my sister brings home toys form my nans house i and from school i will not let her come near me with them. And fear of getting the stomach flu.I have had a bad case of it when i was 11 years old and now i am 15 years old and i have the same fear. before i had the stomach flu i was i normal kid.My family said i have a ocd but i have never been to a doctor about it. A hate going shopping with my mum and i hate going to school any where with people i hate it.Do you think i have a ocd.

Like the other person said, it is not likely ocd but germophobia. You are terrified of being so sick again, and it has taken over to an extreme.
What I recommend is going to your regular doctor and telling them just what you put here. Your doctor will be able to tell you ways to avoid getting sick without these extremes. You may need an anti-anxiety medication and/or therapy for a short time. I get the impression you were not like this before you were sick, and it wasn't that long ago, so chances are you will get over it with help. But you need to get that help now so it doesn't take over the rest of your life.
It is possible to have a successful life with this germophobia. Howie Mandell has. But it sounds like it is not a life you want, or you wouldn't be asking for advice. So, go to the doctor ASAP. Be honest, tell the doctor what you told us, and be open to whatever solutions are presented to you.

Well OCD ran in my family. I don't know if anyone was ever officially diagnosed with it. But those are similar behaviors. The only thing is there is a little more to having OCD. At least from my experience. You may just be like a germaphob hahaha you know like just scared of germs cause you don't want to get sick again. Usually with OCD you have things like this: you have to have things in a certain order, when you go to peoples houses or stores you have to arrange things in certain patterns, you may have ticks and clicks that you do in certain number patterns and if they are disrupted you may get really sad or aggitated. You may have to do things over and over. Like rechecking and rechecking and rechecking. You may be ok with some germs but not other germs. You may have panic attacks about things that don't even exist or may not at all be rational...for example...if i touch a spiders web, spider babies will go inside my finger and i will have them breeding inside of me and that thought will overwhealm you until you have a panic attack and you are washing your hands non stop in steaming hot water that would normally burn someone just to touch hahaha...that's how bad stuff was in my family. I started working on it...there are books at Borders that will help you release the emotional attachments you have attached to certain behaviors and then you can start to release that kind of stuff. So if this sounds like you then maybe you do...other wise you are probably just really fearful of getting sick again and are doining everything you can to avoid it :)
