I need to get over him!
So, there's this kid that I've been talking to for a while. We used to be totally into each other, but we weren't dating because of how far we lived from each other (an hour) and the both of us can't drive. He's also sixteen and I'm fourteen.
We used to talk a lot, but he figured out that he liked this other girl who went to his high school, so he just forgot about me and dated her. We stopped talking for a couple months and he still occassionally talks to me. I recently told him I never got over him and it's been about five months since he told me he liked the other girl. Sometimes I ask him if he's completely over me and he goes, "Idk." So, that gives absolutely no help whatsoever. He dated the girl for about a month until they broke up, but I'm pretty sure he's still in love with her. He still tells me he misses me and wishes he could see me more often and when he does, it makes me feel great, but then there are days when I talk to him and I can just tell that he doesn't want to talk to me because he only answers with one word. For example, I would say, "What's up?" and he would just go, "Nothing." And then the conversation would end. Then, there are other days when he's totally hype about talking to me! My friend makes fun of him and calls him bipolar, but I still love him.
My actually question is, Does he still like me? Or does he just feel bad that I still like him and he doesn't feel the same way, so he flirts with me?
And, what can I do to get over this kid? Everytime I hear, see, or someone mentions his name, I cringe. It's really that bad. I can't go through a day without thinking of him.

well , i understand your situation i think that if he didn't like you anymore he would ethier not talk to you at all , or hardly talk to you period and if your'e really not sure if he is still interested ask him be like i know you said you don't know if you're are over me or not , and that confuses me can you just tell me yes or no cause i still like you alittle bit , and if he says yes thank way to go if he says no , then it's okay theres plenty more guys out there who must be interested in you. & if you still can't get over him fully just remind yourself that you can do better then a guy who doesn't know what he wants that you're smarter then that . hope i've helped

He could still like you, but he also may not. But if he doesn't, be glad you guys are friends. You really can't tell how he feels with the "idk" doesn't help much right? I think you should try and find other stuff to do if you want to get over him. If he could go out with other girls, why can't you? I think you should go out with your friends and have fun. Also try and meet some other guys. There are so many guys out there, he isn't the only one so don't worry. He is important to you and he will be a part of your life but I think you should try and find other guys. Good luck! I hope everything goes well.

First, I really doubt he is bipolar. The reason he said 'idk' is most likely because he still likes you, but is unsure of his feelings for the other girl. Answering in one-word responses may be his way of walking past the topic of having troubles with his home life, because he doesnt feel like talking to anyone about it at certain times. He probably has a lot on his mind, and it is not you specifically that he doesnt want to talk to at these times, so try not to single yourself out. It sounds as if he does like you, but is just having trouble trying to find time to spend with you to confirm his answer. Try spending time with other people, such as friends and get involved in some activities you enjoy to free your mind from him a bit if you need to. The only reason you cringe when you hear his name is because you still have feelings for him and you know he has had a different relationship. I am sure he does like you. Try to find ways where you could hang out with more time to talk and do things together. The more time you earn with him, the more you will learn about eachother. Plus, he may want to tell you in person
