mangoes93008 answered Sunday February 1 2009, 10:02 pm: Doctors. Don't be embarassed becuase you want it to be fixed before it could be too late. Its most likely infected. There's nothing to be scared out. It's not like they are going to put you under the light and surgically remove your toe. [ mangoes93008's advice column | Ask mangoes93008 A Question ]
Lalagurl answered Saturday January 31 2009, 12:59 pm: well you should tell your mom.
or somebody.
i mean you dont have to but the doctor will only be able to prescribe medicine. which probably isnt any better than advil.
because a few months ago i was walking barefoot in my house and my (piggy) toe cracked between to walls. and i could barely walk for two weeks and it was purple.
so unless you can walk well, i would say that is it just a sprain.
put ice on it as often as you can because it will reduce the swelling if any and it will make it stop hurting as much. [ Lalagurl's advice column | Ask Lalagurl A Question ]
thelaura answered Saturday January 31 2009, 9:18 am: It's nothing to be scared of hunni, but you do need to know if it is actually broken as opposed to badly bruised etc.
Which toe is it? Can you walk on it at all? How long have you had it?
If possible, tape it to the next toe and keep off it.
Even if it was broken, there's not alot that can be done (apart from strapping it to the next one) unless it's a very bad break, which needs realigning etc (but I think you'd know if that was the case) - but let's say that did happen, it's nothing to be scared about, as breaking toes is common and easily corrected.
For now, if it's causing you pain, take painkillers and rest.
If I were you, I'd get checked if it's not improving by a weeks time.
Broken toes are painful. but most of the time, not alot can be done for them.
Feel better soon. [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]
littlemee answered Saturday January 31 2009, 5:54 am: it sounds like its broken. you have to get it checked out because otherwise it could start releasing marrow, and make you ill. so get it checked out. [ littlemee's advice column | Ask littlemee A Question ]
