I got highlights in my hair about three months ago

Question Posted Sunday January 25 2009, 7:36 pm

I got highlights in my hair about three months ago. Now, I want my hair all one color and am opting for a medium brown color. Would my highlights turn a funky orange colors or something if I put box dye over them to make my hair a uniform color? Thanks!

Pretty much.
I used to dye my hair lighter. I got sick of it over a year ago and STILL, if I want to keep a darker hair colour I have to dye it every few months.
I even tried a purple tint not even a month ago.. needless to say it's coming out already and my hair's getting lots lighter.
Highlights grow out.. and if you don't mind dying your hair every so often with a kit at home, talk to a hair dresser and see what they can do.

Most likely. You need to gradually change it brown. I would talk to a professional hair dresser and see what they say. Good Luck!

..there is a GREAT chance that it will , even if its not right when you dye your hair, but once it starts to lighten and fade there is a great chance ... i would say go professional or atleast talk to someone who knows alot about it
...but dont strip your hair either
that is realy realy bad for it
...talk to a professional or somone very experienced in hair
hope it helps
