Weird Smell

Hey I was just wondering why is it when you have your period, it smells kind of like fish?? Is there any way to prevent this? Thanks!

in addition to the other answers, make sure to change your pad or tampon at least every 4 or 5 hours. also, take a shower every morning (or night if thats what you prefer). hope i helped<3

I can't tell you exactly why it smells the way it does, because I am not for sure of that answer. I'm sure it is the blood that smells, and all the blood that is shedding from your uterus has been there for a month. There are a lot of products for smells now days. The main ones being deodorized feminine products(tampons and pads). There are also other washes and sprays just for women that may help.
