Plan B

Question Posted Sunday January 11 2009, 1:06 pm

I was on birth control for about a year and a half and decided to come off of it after I finished my period in early December. My boyfriend and I had sex on New Year's Eve. It was protected sex all but once when we were in the bathtub. I was no longer on birth control at this time (i stopped taking it around the 15th at the end of the pack), but I took Plan B when I woke up the morning after(about 4 hours later). I am about a week late on my period. Is this because of coming off of the birth control? I understood that Plan B makes your period come sooner. Can anybody help me underdstand this situation.

Thank you

Hey, I wouldnt worry! I take birth control and when i miss one pill it has me all messed up! ill either be extremly late starting or i will be very early.and sometimes i wont have one for that month at all. It is most likley where you came off of the pill and it has your body confused if you dont have your period next month then i would worry. just take care of your body until then.
