i curl my hair with a curling iron but after about an hour it goes back straight, im already using hairspray. And Im using a revlon curling iron. my hair is naturally curling so i straighten it and then after a couple hours i curl it. How do i keep in the curls all day?
Before I curl it, I part my whole head in half and clip one half or tie it back. For the other half of my head, I take a medium-sized piece of hair (maybe the size of 2 fingers or so) and straighen it halfway, so one half of the piece is straight and the other half is curly (or whatever your hair may naturally be).
I do that until the whole top of my head it straight and the whole bottom half is curly.
After that, I curl my hair right up until the curling iron meets the straightened hair and then let it go.
I do that until my whole head is in curls. It sounds strange, but it really works. After you're done curling it, spray it a bit with hairspray and you're good to go.

Merisa answered Tuesday December 30 2008, 5:24 pm: the reason why its not really curling that good is because you straightened it first..
dont do that.. when you want to curl it you take part by part and then girl like the little pieces hold for about 30 seconds and do it again like that and then use a lot a lot of hairspray.. hope this helps! [ Merisa's advice column | Ask Merisa A Question ]
xosodapopx3 answered Tuesday December 30 2008, 5:19 pm: Theres a couple things you could do that will help:
*First spray your hair with a little hairspray BEFORE you curl it
*Dont wash your hair for a day (that is gross to me ahaha but trust me it will work better)
*Keep the curler in your hair a little longer before taking it out
*While the curler is in your hair, spray it with hairspray
*After the curler is out of you hair, spray it with some more hairspray.
*Buy hairspray in the store that says Maximum hold, or extra strength
*When buying hairspray, read the discription on the back, some hairsprays so different things
*Keep a mini hairspray bottle with you all night to re-apply
*I like using pump-bottles (not continuous spray) Its a personal choice, but In my opinion I think it actually holds my hair better, and hey, its better for the enviornment, too! :-)
Jasminaa answered Tuesday December 30 2008, 5:16 pm: It'll be easier to curl & such if you don't straighten it beofore that. If you just do it on your natual hair, it turns out better. Also use a certain kind of hairpray, not the one that will make your hair alll hard & stiff, get something that says curling suplement or something in that catagory.
