Losing Weight

Question Posted Tuesday December 23 2008, 5:31 pm

14/f

I'm not fat or chubby or anything. I just have stomach I want to get rid of. I know exercising would help but I don't know what to do. Running? I think sit ups would work right? But how many? And eating healthy. Is there anything else? I weigh about 103, that's normal right? ha, I have a lot of questions as you can see. The other thing is that I don't want to exercise in front of anyone, like family kinda of thing. Its kinda weird unless I want to play basketball or something with my brother. And how do you tone your arms and legs? Thanks so much and sorry for all these questions.

I work my abs to get a better "toned" stomach. Don't do sit ups.. try cruches- pulling your body about half way up to your legs instead of fully sitting up. To start seeing results quickly.. I would do around 100 crunches a day. Running is also good for your stomach and also your legs. I would run around a mile every 2 to 3 days. For toning your arms, I would do a couple of pushups everyday(3 sets of 12) and if you can find access to a pull up bar... I would do some pull ups too!

Hope I helped :)

running works mostly your legs but its also good too, doing 30 sit ups a day would do the trick and it takes around a month at least to see a difference, power walking is good if you dont like to run. I did a lot of that over the summer and it gave me really nice abs, like power walking for about 40 minutes a day or every other day and doing sit ups push ups and stretches. doing yoga & pilates in the comfort of your own room or living room is also great. & remember to drink lots of water! hope I helped:)

You shouldn't be wanting to lose weight. You weigh like 100 pounds. If you run, you will lose your boobs. Try crunches & sit ups. If you have love handles, try standing straight up, reach up with your arms, and hold a broom horizontally, lean from side to side, not bending over, or your sides. It stretches the love handles, and works the muscles to get rid of them.
As for eating healthy, you can eat what you want, as long as it isnt junk. Just eat, not until you cant eat anymore, just eat enough until your full.
I really dont think you should try to lose weight, especially where you should be hitting your growth spurt pretty soon.
Hope I helped.

Sit ups would work. As for the number, you need to see how many you can do. DON'T over do it. Start out with like 10 a day and after 2 weeks or so, raise the number. Eating healthy can also help
