becoming closer with guy friends fam.
18 yr old female. i will try to make this as short as possible!!
so i have a good friend, his name is ben. well i've always been close with his two sisters. they're 4 and 10. they love me to death, everytime i see them they come up and hug me and talk to me, they're the cutest. he has another brother who is 11 and i also talk to him when i see him, he reminds me exactly of ben! well then ben has a sister jamie who is 15. i don't know how to like start talking to her? i've known ben for like 3 years now, but i've never really hung out with just him and his family. jamie and i have seen each other before, but we never say anything to each other so now i think it would be awkward after all these times to finally be like hi! because i think she would be like, hey? get what im saying? but i think it would be cool to start talking to her! but i also dont want ben to be like, why are you all of a sudden talking to my sister? i dont really go to his house that often, we're usually out doing something or at my house because well he does have a big family and it gets hectic over there. also his parents, they know who i am. i've never really said hi to them though when i've seen them! i would never go up and say hi to them if i seen them at the store or anything because they don't know me very well. its kind of an awkward situation. if i do go to his house, i'm usually with my cousin who is ben's neighbor so his parents don't really think anything of it or they're usually not home. and ben has a girlfriend, of a very long time so i also feel like they would think, why are you hanging out with our son? jamie doesnt really like his girlfriend my cousin said because she is over there ALL THE TIME! and she does get annoyed of it, so i want her to like me :) and i'm also a year older and they are kind of protective of him so i don't know if they would even approve of us hanging out alone. me and ben go to different schools too. i just wish i was close with his family like he is with mine. my parents love ben. my mom gets excited when she knows i'm going to be with them, and if joe sees them somewhere he will say hi to them or my parents will say hey to him. i'm not that outgoing either, i mean i'm not shy but i'm not one to go up and start a conversation. what to do, what to do! without it being awkward!
