It is possible to have the abortion as long as it is legal in your state. A lot of places do it up until the end of the third month. i do know of some doctors offices here that will do it up until the end of the fourth month, but it is not a common thing. As someone else has said, it is a dangerous procedure especially as you get further into the pregnancy.

She could be telling you the truth.. but probably not.

Seems legit to me. She could have had a dose of pills to kill the child (including hospital visits)

Well it sounds like your friend is not being completely honest. There is the morning after pill, but that has to be taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex. There is also the "abortion pill" which is really a combination of two medications, mifepristone and misoprostol that is an option for women who are 8 weeks pregnant or less. Most doctors won't even do an abortion after the first trimester (about three months). She would also be showing a little by 4 months so it would have been harder to hide it.

The only way to get an abortion at 4 months is if

1. you live in a state or country where it is legal

2. you find a clinic willing to perform the procedure. Most don't after 12 weeks (3 months). The further along you are, the more you're health is at risk. It's safer to carry to term, and if you must, consider adoption instead.

3. you're willing to pay the higher cost. The longer you wait, the more it will cost. After 10-12 weeks you're looking at around $1000.00 or more.

The abortion pill (Mifeprex) only works if you are 8 weeks pregnant or less. Plan B is emergency contraception that works only up to 72 hours after unprotected sex. Available to women 18yrs or older.

Young girls should know the facts. Sex isn't just a fun thing to do. It something that should be done responsibly and under no pressure. If you are considering having sex or already are, read as much as you can about safe sex. Abortions are nothing to joke about.

Good luck
