I have mine done, and my friend also got hers done after me. Mine never did that, but hers did. Its normal. Have crust is a good sign bc it shows its healing. I used Neosporin and mine never got infected or anything. Ontiments are not bad for piercings, I have 20 of them I should know a thing or two. I put the Neosporin on the hoop and moved the hoop in and out of my ear to get the inside of the piercing so it has some inside of it too. And just put it around it. Good Luck! :D

I have my tragus done too, although mine never did this, it does sound normal. A month is too early for your piercing to be fully healed anyway, so you can expect it to still be producing lymph (which should be clearish, if not a tiny bit yellow).
Warning signs of infection is leaking yellow pus and feeling hot to the touch. Redness can be a sign as well, but since you've only had yours done a month, it could be normal, too.
My advice to you is to give it around 3 days. In the 3 days, don't sleep on it and never ever touch it apart from when you clean it. Mix sea salt into hot water (not hot enough to burn you!) soak a cotton wool ball in it and apply the warm compress over your ear. Hold it for about 15 minutes. Do this about 4 times a day.
Don't use anything else apart from the salt water solution. Ointments are very bad for piercings as they can clog it up and dry the surroundings.
If you see improvements, then great! but if you don't, it's wise to take a trip to your doctor. Even if it is infected, you probably won't need to take it out - taking out infected piercings only traps the infection in your body. You'll probably get a course of antibiotics.
Let's hope it doesn't get that far though. Good luck.

go to a doctor cause if it is infected the doctor will give you something to put on it to make it go away and you might not have to take it out at all i got mine done too and it got red and crusty too but it was because i put too much pressure on it i was always tryin to fix it cause it looked wierd and thats y so just go to a doctor and let them check wat it is .
