My name is Alyssa, I am 14 and I lost over 30 pounds a year ago.

Diet DOES have to do with your period!

A sudden loss in weight can cause growing to stop (including your height, breasts, periods, hips, emotionally)

Check with your doctor to see if you are a healthy weight. Or check the internet and look up your BMI (body mass index)

If it tells you that you are underweight, you are going to have to bring your weight up.

Not gettiing your period is a serious issue, and it can cause bone mass loss, osteoperosis, and many other bad things. It also weakens your immunity.

Of course, you ARE only 13 and your body may just be getting used to having your period, so there is no way to know.

Hopefully you get you're period soon, and it is just off track. If not, it wouldn't hurt to see a doctor.

Hope I hlped a bit.

Stay Safe,
Lyssa

As far as I know diet doesn't have anything to do with your period :) Don't worry, it will come. Some girls start it early, some start it late. I know many girls who haven't started yet. I even know a 16 year old who hasn't. Even when you start it, it might be abnormal for a little while. If it's abnormal for more then a year, I suggest going to a doctor. But usually it works itself out :) It will come, but trust me, the later, the BETTER. Ha ha hope I helped!
