Small job at a small town hairstyle place.

Question Posted Monday November 17 2008, 6:40 pm

So im 14, female and freshmen at school. I only play volleyball as a sport but since that is over i have nothing to do. So ive been thinking of getting a job. Most of the jobs live very close to me. but i've been thinking if i can get a job at a hairstyle place. Like clean up, set appointments, or getting the people who are waiting to get there cut all set and ready while the hairstylst finishes up on someone else. Do you think they would allow that?

ps- how much do you think they would pay if i get the job?

14 is a little young, but who knows. go to a few hair salons and fill out some applications. it won't hurt to try.

some might hire you for that position but you'll only be making minimum wage. so you need to just call and find out.

It's great to hear that you are interested in working to take up some of your free time than opposed to hanging out or going to the mall.

Since I do not know the state that you reside in, I can only tell you this; For most states you are not eligible to work legally unless you are 15 years of age.

Since you are interested in working, I can make a suggestion to you in regards to your age. You can try babysitting or becoming a mother's helper for extra money. Depending on how many kids you are watching you can make around $10.00 an hour.

Good luck!
