How do you do a virus scan on your computer
do you need a speical program?
if so how much does it cost?

avg is a good free antivirus program. This should help you. Just download and install it.

You can get online scans for free from known anti virus programs. However, there are also a number of free ones available for download. The advantage with downloading them is that, once you have installed them, they run in the background and help prevent your computer from getting infected in the first place (by warning you when you are being attacked by a virus). Here is a good free program:
