my cousin is really depressed

my 38 year old cousin was seeing this guy for 2 years and he cheated on her like 10 times so she broke up with him for good and now she is so depressed she stopped eating and she is thinking about putting herself in a mental institution how can i help her not feel so sad anymore?

There isn't much you can do but support her and just be her friend. Show her that you care about her and way more than that guy did. It would be tough for her but you need to be there for her. Go out with her and meet some guys. I hope everything works out though.

you could try taking her out and help her understand that there are better men out there..take her shopping..introduce her to someone you think is a good man..she probably wouldn't wanna hear this but tell her that things happen for a reason -i hated this saying but i finally understand it now- sorry to say, but maybe she's supposed to suffer a little and find out on her own that life will get better..
