Period- Retaining water

Question Posted Tuesday October 21 2008, 11:31 pm

I know when you're having your period, you retain water. I weighed myself and i weighed about 4lbs more than i usually do, but i havent been eating unhealthy or anything, so i'm pretty sure i haven't gained weight. Is this normal? Girls, do you find that that when you get your period you weigh a few lbs more? And how long do you retain water for? Throughout the whole period, or just at the beginning?

Thanks.

That sort of thing varies, but 4lbs is about right. It can last through the whole period or it could just last a day. It depends on the hormones your body sends out that particular day.
