If you're willing to and wanting to stay together, it will happen. Keep up good communication, visit when possible. It's difficult, but if you really want to be together then it can work.
If you feel like you don't want to stay together and you are questioning the relationship, then I would suggest to end it or take a break. It wouldn't be fair to you or your boyfriend if you aren't truly interested in keeping the relationship going. [ denialsam's advice column | Ask denialsam A Question ]

Age? Who cares?
If you like each other, then remain in your relationship - you can work it out if you try. [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]
