I'm not sure what it's like where you live, but in PA (in the US) people wear jeans, school shirts/hoodies etc. or something they would wear to go out on a friday night. Nothing special.

I've heard this done in some places, like New England areas but I know we didn't at my high school. We just wore our hoodies and jeans and came with our guys, but it might be different where you live... that's just Colorado's view. ^_^
